Who We Are

TV47 is a television channel based in Kenya focused on untold stories from Kenya and across the World. It is owned by Cape Media Limited, an affiliate of Mount Kenya University. It was launched in 2019 and its main broadcast languages are English and Kiswahili. TV47 is available on ZUKU (Channel 69) GoTV (Channel 20), DSTV (Channel 268), SIGNET, BAMBA and PANG. 

We pride ourselves in transforming lives by producing and broadcasting the untold stories of our Nation. In fact, TV47 derives its name from the 47 counties in Kenya.

Our Motto is representation matters and we have sought to be inclusive by representing the various age groups of the Kenyan viewers as well as other underrepresented members of our society. We are known for our focus on being youth-centric and we have embraced this identity.
