The form of cancer has not yet been revealed to the public nor the details as to what stage the cancer is.

King Charles is expected to postpone public duties as he has already begun regular treatments.

He will continue with his constitutional role as head of state, including paperwork and private meetings.

The palace said that the King decided to go public about his cancer treatment as he had been a great supporter of cancer-related charities during his time as the Prince of Wales.
