President William Ruto’s chief of staff and Head of public service Felix Kosgei has called on the Kenya Public to embrace dressing down for the next seven until the 60th Jamhuri Day Celebration.

Kosgei was speaking during the YouthConnekt Summit launch, a week-long festival where over 20,000 young innovators, creatives and leaders from all over Africa will converge at the KICC to drop ideas and solve real-world challenges from 8-11th culminating in Jamhuri Day.

According to the chief of staff, casual wear will amplify the Africa YouthConnekt Summit vibes.

This year’s Jamhuri Day celebrations will be based on the theme “Kenya, Youth, Creative Economy, and Sports”

The Head of Public service advised Kenyans to don a jersey from their favourite Kenyan or African team – whether it’s Athletics, Harambee Stars, Shujaa, or Malkia.

“Starting tomorrow until Jamhuri Day, let’s embrace dress down, stylish and presentable casual wear, amplifying the Africa YouthConnekt Summit vibes that we’re proudly hosting from Dec. 8-11.

“Show your spirit by donning a jersey from your favourite Kenyan or African team – whether it’s Athletics, Harambee Stars, Shujaa, or Malkia. Let’s rock those jerseys with pride!@YouthConnektAf,” stated Kosgei.
