Comedian Eric Omondi has come to the aid of a jobless graduate from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Taking to his widely followed social media pages, Omondi shared the plight of Bonface Barasa from Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.
Barasa graduated from JKUAT in 2018 where he pursued an undergraduate degree in Commerce (Finance option).
Unfortunately, five years down the line he has been unsuccessful in his pursuit for a job and resorted to making bricks in efforts to raise money for his family.
“Na mimi nasema wakiingiza Kwa Shimo tunatoa. SISI KWA SISI is about lifting each other and we are going to lift our brother from this hole. .The family has lost all hope and we are going to be their hope.
(And I say if they put in to the hole we take out. SISI KWA SISI is about lifting each other and we are going to lift our brother from this hole. The family has lost all hope and we are going to be their hope),” Eric Omondi added.
Desperate Graduate Seeks Capital
The desperate graduate hopes to delve into agribusiness by supplying produce from Kitale to Nairobi.
“I spoke to Bonface and he told me he wants to open a business in Kitale and supply Maize, Nduma, Cabbage and sweet potatoes to Nairobi,” the comedian narrated.
To achieve this, Bonface Barasa reportedly needs KSh500,000 starting capital.
Eric Omondi however told his fans to offer him a job as he could open the business by himself should he get a job.
“…we can raise that as team Sisi Kwa Sisi in just an hour or less, The secret is to send whatever you have hata Shillingi moja goes along way. His number is 0722205638 (NAME BONFACE BARASA).”
On her part, Barasa’s widowed mother said her son scored grade A- in his 2013 KCSE examinations and was admitted to JKUAT.
