Diana Makokha: Does God know how the men he created embarrass women?

Must read

In the beginning, there was God, who so loved the world. He sculpted man in His image, carefully placing him into a deep slumber.

From this peaceful sleep, He extracted a rib, and with profound love, He fashioned a breathtaking woman.

She was meant to be cherished, cared for by the very first man He had created.

Now, this is my unique Biblical rendition, drawing inspiration from Sunday school tales at the Salvation Army. And thus, the journey unfolds.

However, this isn’t a Bible lesson; it’s a pondering of why men, the ones God molded in His likeness, at times seem to embarrass the very women they are meant to love.

We’ll set aside the story of Eve and the serpent in the Garden of Eden momentarily.

I extend my apologies on behalf of Eve, and instead, let’s delve into the audacity that some men have when doing perplexing things to women.

These individuals, unafraid of delivering embarrassment in its grandeur, do so with astonishing boldness.

They make no distinctions, readily serving up humiliation on silver platters. They round us all up, just to proceed with the grand spectacle.

I admire Jada Pinkett; she navigates this world with grace, understanding, and a steely resolve.

She endures because she knows that her counterpart, when so inclined, can act shamefully—intentionally, to say the least.

While sympathizers may have their say, she stands strong in the face of adversity, unflinching in her convictions.

And when the man decides to unleash chaos, it’s a willful act that leaves you astounded.

Then there’s the curious case of another individual, let’s call him Jeremiah (though he’s no prophet).

He left his wife in the United States, citing a visit to his ailing mother in Liberia.

Yet, he was off to marry another woman! The jaw-dropping moment occurred when photos emerged of him in traditional African wedding attire beside his new bride. Some folks have no shame, no conscience to guide them.

These experiences can shape you, lead you to become a poet, a motivational speaker, or a culinary expert.

You might prepare stone soup seasoned with saltless tears, as you embark on a spiritual journey filled with prayer, fasting, and soul-searching.

Yet, when the day comes, the man will serve you a portion of shame so large it defies imagination.

The love of your life may for the silliest of reasons—a curvier figure, a revealing neckline, or sun-kissed thighs.

You might be on the brink of despair if you ever discovered the extent of his infidelity.

Some men have wandering eyes, or they frequent strip clubs, much to your bewilderment.

It’s essential to remember that relationships take work, requiring intention, effort, and above all, honesty.

While it might be women who often bear the brunt of these transgressions, it’s high time they embrace their vulnerability with caution.

The world should not be surprised when a couple decides to part ways.

Sometimes, life happens, and even the most exciting movies have their endings.

Remember, you don’t choose whom to love, but you can choose how to protect your delicate heart.

In the grand theater of life, people can leave you reeling, casting your hopes and faith adrift.

And the very individuals God commanded to love, cherish, and protect you may plead for a second chance, profess their love to the world, and then proceed to embarrass you profoundly. Such is the unpredictable nature of relationships.
