More than 60,000 passports have been collected so far ever since the launch of the Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) on collection of passports.
According to data from the office of State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services Principal Secretary, 60,567 passports had been collected by 20th October, 2023.
The data also shows that an additional 43,742 new passports have been printed since the launch of the RRI on September 25, 2023.
This means that 70,629 passports are ready for collection across the country.

The government launched the RRI to expedite the delivery of 87,454 passports that were yet to be collected from the Directorate of Immigration headquarters and regional offices.
“Every Wednesday, during the 30-day RRI period, a list scheduling the collection of passports the following week is posted on the Directorate of Immigration official

PS Bitok is urging applicants to monitor the status of their passports on eCitizen portal and on the Directorate of Immigration official communication channels.
“The government is committed to enhance efficiency in the Directorate of Immigration to ensure the delivery of services as quickly as possible,” he adds.
