The 34-year-old man’s chilling and horrifying tale unfolded in Rwanda’s capital city, Kigali.
Suspected serial killer
Furthermore, ten lifeless bodies were found buried in a hole within his kitchen.
According to the police, the suspected serial killer had a sinister method of luring his victims.
He enticed them from local bars to his rented home, where he killed them.
Local media reports suggested the body count may be higher.
Some claimed it could be 14 victims.
Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) spokesman, Thierry Murangira said:
“The exact number will be confirmed after thorough forensic investigations.”
The suspect’s initial arrest based on suspicions of rape and robbery, among other offences.
However, due to a lack of concrete evidence, he was granted bail.
In a twist of events, what the police uncovered led to his re-arrest.
Moreover, what they uncovered was beyond comprehension.
Inside his home, a pit in the kitchen held the remains of more than ten individuals.
Additionally, the suspect confessed to the gruesome crimes.
The man revealed that he had learned his sinister ways from infamous serial killers.
Furthermore, he didn’t stop at just taking lives; he dissolved some of his victims in acid.
Besides, he meticulously studied his victims, choosing those who were least likely to have close family or friends looking out for them.
Purposefully, most of his victims were prostitutes, and once they fell into his trap, he robbed them of their possessions.
Unfortunately, he strangled them to death and then buried them within the confines of his rented house.
This gruesome tale serves as a stark reminder of the darkness that can lurk in unexpected places.
